2. Exercise section

The problems which can be prepared will be published onto this website about one week before the exercise.

In preparation for the exercise these problems should be solved at home and are expected to be put into the institute's letterbox until the given deadline before the exercise unit. Please note that this is a strict deadline, excercises handed in too late will be disregarded. The letterbox is located at the secretary's door, room CF0109, Institute of Electrodynamics, Microwave and Circuit Engineering. Afterwards, the problems will be reviewed and evaluated. Alternatively, you can hand in your scanned excercise by email (Holger Arthaber, Michael Feiginov). The solutions of the selected problems (typically those the most of you had problems with) will be presented in the exercise unit.

Please note:

  • If the problem shall be solved by using a Smith-chart, always hand in the chart with your solutions. For clarity, do not use one Smith-chart for more than one example. Further guidelines on how to correctly use the Smith-chart for the examples and the written exam, resp., can be found here: Guidelines

  • The handed in examples will remain at the Institute.
